Acceptance of terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to all tours and services booked with Marrakech Sand Tours (“we”, “us”, “our”) and to the use of marrakechsandtours.com. By paying a deposit or confirming a booking, the lead traveller accepts these terms on behalf of everyone in the group.

Our services

We organise private, tailor-made tours throughout Morocco, including desert journeys, imperial city tours, day trips and multi-day itineraries. Our services typically include private transport with an experienced driver, accommodation, desert camp stays, guided visits and activities, as described in your personal itinerary.

All of our tours are private: you will never be added to a shared group departure.

Quotes & prices

Each tour is priced individually based on your dates, group size, route and accommodation level. Your quote lists exactly what is and is not included. Prices are confirmed in writing and may be shown in USD, EUR, GBP or other currencies on request.

Quotes are valid for the period stated. Until your booking is confirmed by deposit, prices and availability may change.

Booking & payment

• Your booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit and send you a written confirmation.
• The deposit amount is stated in your quote and allows us to reserve drivers, guides, riads and camps in your name.
• The remaining balance is payable before departure, on the date shown in your confirmation, or to your driver on arrival where agreed in writing.
• We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Google Pay and Stripe, all processed securely online. Any bank or payment fees are the traveller’s responsibility.

If the balance is not received by the agreed date, we may treat the booking as cancelled under our cancellation terms.

Cancellations & changes

Free cancellation is available within seasonal notice periods: 48 hours before the tour in low season, 7 days in middle season and 15 days in high season. Full details on cancellations, changes, no-shows and refunds are set out in our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Any request to change or cancel must be sent in writing by email or WhatsApp.

Itinerary changes

We plan every route carefully, but travel in Morocco can be affected by weather, sandstorms, snow in the Atlas, road works, festivals or local events. We may need to adjust timings, routes or accommodation for your safety or comfort. When this happens, we will always provide an alternative of similar or better standard and keep you informed.

Your responsibilities

• Holding a valid passport (at least six months’ validity is recommended) and any visa required for your nationality.
• Giving us accurate details, including names, flight times and any dietary, medical or accessibility needs.
• Being at the agreed meeting point on time.
• Respecting local laws, customs and the people and places you visit.
• Taking care of your personal belongings and valuables.

We may end the services of any traveller whose behaviour puts others at risk or seriously disrupts the tour, without refund.

Health, safety & activities

Some experiences — camel treks, quad biking, hiking, hot-air balloon flights and long drives over mountain passes — involve physical effort and natural risks. Please tell us about any medical condition, pregnancy or mobility limitation before booking so we can adapt your itinerary. Participation in optional activities is at your own choice, and the instructions of drivers, guides and activity staff must be followed at all times.

Accommodation & suppliers

We work with trusted local riads, hotels, desert camps, guides and activity providers. Accommodation standards in Morocco may differ from those in your home country, especially in remote mountain and desert areas. If a confirmed property becomes unavailable, we will arrange an equivalent alternative.

Liability

We take great care in selecting partners and arranging your tour. However, we cannot be held responsible for loss, injury, damage, delay or extra costs caused by the traveller’s own actions, by independent third-party services, or by events beyond our reasonable control such as weather, natural disasters, strikes, health emergencies or government decisions.

Where we are found responsible, our liability is limited to the price paid for the affected services, as far as permitted by law.

Complaints

If something is not right during your trip, please tell your driver, guide or our team on WhatsApp straight away so we can fix it on the spot. If you still have concerns after your journey, write to us within 30 days of your return and we will respond promptly and fairly.

Photos & reviews

We may occasionally take photos during tours. We will only publish images in which you can be identified with your permission. Reviews you share publicly may be quoted on our website and social media.

Website use

All content on this website, including text, photos and logos, belongs to Marrakech Sand Tours or its licensors and may not be copied without permission. While we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, itineraries and descriptions are a guide and may change. How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. We will always try to resolve any disagreement amicably first; if that is not possible, it will be referred to the competent courts of Marrakech.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your booking applies to your trip.
