Sahara desert tours, answered plainly.

Marrakech routes run south through Ait Benhaddou, the Dades Valley, and the Todra Gorge. Fes routes cross the Middle Atlas cedar forests and the Ziz Valley instead. Both reach the same dunes at Merzouga — the difference is entirely in the scenery on the way there, so it often comes down to which city you're already starting or ending your trip in.
Both. Some itineraries are round trips that return you to your departure city, and others are one-way — for example, starting in Fes and finishing in Marrakech, or the reverse. Each tour card above shows its route, so you can pick a one-way option if you'd rather not backtrack.
A camel trek out to camp at sunset, dinner and traditional music around the fire, a tent for the night (private or shared, depending on your booking), and a camel ride back out at sunrise. Blankets are provided, but desert nights get cold even after a hot day, so warm layers are worth packing regardless of season.
Both options exist on every route. Private tours use your own vehicle and driver-guide with a flexible schedule; small-group tours share a vehicle with a handful of other travelers at a lower cost. Let us know which you'd prefer when you check availability.
Spring (March–May) and autumn (October–November) offer the most comfortable daytime temperatures and clear, cold nights that are excellent for stargazing. Winter days are pleasant but nights in the desert camp are cold. Summer is workable if you don't mind serious midday heat during the drive.
Yes, on any of the routes. The driving days are long but done at a relaxed pace with regular stops, and the camel trek to camp has a shorter walking alternative by 4x4 for anyone who'd rather skip riding. Let us know in advance so the itinerary can be adjusted.
